  • ½ teasp. salt
  • 2 level teasp.

Method

Sift the flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar; add the oatmeal and sugar and rub in the fat. Add the milk, and mix to a stiff but not hard dough. Dust the baking-board with a mixture of flour and oatmeal, and roll out thinly. Rub the surface with oatmeal and cut out with a 3½–4-in. cutter or cu
