  • 2 oz. butter or margarine
  • 1 tablesp. castor sugar
  • 1 tablesp. cold water
  • 1 tablesp. hot water
  • few drops of coffee essence


Cream together the fat and sugar. Gradually beat in the cold water, then the hot (not boiling) water. Add coffee essence to taste.
