Method

Thickly spread the slices of brown bread with butter and trim into neat 2-in. squares. Place a raw oyster on each, sprinkle with a shake of pepper and grated nutmeg, and roll up cornerwise. Place in a greased fireproof dish and bake in a fairly hot oven (375° F., Gas 5) about 10 min. until
