  • ¾ lb. herring roes
  • seasoned flour
  • 1 bacon rasher
  • 4

Method

Wash and dry the roes, dip in seasoned flour and fry in a little hot fat. Chop the bacon and add it to the roes when they are almost cooked.

Serve piled on rounds of buttered toast.
