Whilst the batter is standing for ½ hr., remove the rind from the bacon, cut the bacon into small pieces and fry gently. Remove from frying-pan and stir into the batter. Put a little dripping into the frying-pan and heat until smoking hot. Quickly pour in enough batter to coat the bottom of the pan evenly. Cook until brown underneath, turn and brown on the other side. Serve immediately.
