Komi shows her appreciation for her friend Najimi by stepping out of her comfort zone to order this drink from Standbakes Coffee, the anime’s riff on Starbucks. But Komi has extreme anxiety and can’t communicate the drink order properly. The fifteen-year-veteran barista feels it is their destiny to make a perfect drink just by looking at Komi. The result is a hilarious scene of deep ambition and effort, all to get the order wrong. I channeled that barista when creating this recipe.
