“This is a lovely dish for any occasion, and it’s economical and very easy to prepare. I like to eat these peas just with bread as a starter, but they can be a good dish to accompany chicken, rabbit, lamb and also roast fish. I use cooked ham which doesn’t give lots of taste and flavour to the dish, but it complements the subtlety of the peas.”
