Tahini is such a versatile ingredient. Traditionally, it’s used to make tahini sauce and hummus, but it can be used in sweet and savoury dishes and is irresistible in desserts, especially with chocolate!

In developing this recipe, I was inspired by The Good Egg, an Israeli-style restaurant in London that serves a divine chocolate bark for dessert. They top theirs with rose petals or sour cranberries and halva and also with candied orange, sesame seeds and pine nuts.
