I’ve never been a fan of beef à la stroganoff, which always surprised me since I love the basic ingredients. It finally dawned on me that twice-cooked fillet was not my idea of great beef. Why not cook the fillet simply and just use the other ingredients as a sauce? And instead of serving the beef with rice, why not great potato pancakes or potato strudel? No reason. I love the result.
