Ingredients

  • 5 pounds blood or regular oranges (about 12)
  • 5 pounds sugar

Method

Procedure

Cut the oranges into very thin slices and seed them. Arrange a layer of slices over the bottom of a stainless steel or enameled cast-iron kettle. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Then make another layer of oranges slices and sprinkle again with sugar and cinnamon. Repeat to use all the orange slices, sugar, and cinnamon. Add the rosewater and wine and water as needed to cov
