  • About

This is not a trendy dessert but a fine accompaniment for lamb chops and chicken, especially those with rosemary in the marinade.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup

Method

Procedure

Combine the vinegar, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the red pepper flakes and the rosemary sprigs and boil 5 minutes. Then add the pear halves, reduce the heat, and simmer until a skewer easily penetrates the pears, about 25 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool in the syrup.
