Pastry chef Jennifer Millar adapted a recipe to create this variation of a French custard tart. When the pie is sliced, the graduated colors of the layers reminded us of dawn breaking on the horizon, hence the aurora designation. Everyone loves this tart and asks for the recipe. Those who have baking skills will triumph, of course. The rest of us will have to have patience and try to have fun with it!
