Black Forest Slice

Germany is one of my favourite holiday destinations and this chocolate cherry slice is inspired by the delicious Schwarzwald chocolate cake I love to eat when travelling there. If you want to be super-indulgent, you can decorate the top of each square with a chocolate-dipped cherry as well. The squares are very rich so you only need to serve in small portions. If you are making it for children omit the Kirsch.
