Black mission figs, very ripe

Method

  1. Trim the stem end and bottom of the figs. Cut an X in the top and bottom of each fig.
  2. Place each fig in a standing position in a hotel pan. Sprinkle the sugar on top. Pour the port over the figs. Add the spices and other flavorings, if using. Roast in a 325°F/163°C convection
