Method

  1. Lightly butter the cake pans and line them with parchment circles.
  2. Mix together the bread flour, toasted almonds, and chocolate shavings.
  3. Cream together the almond paste, lemon zest, vanilla, and salt with the paddle attachment, starting on low speed and increasing to medium speed and scraping down the bowl as needed, until smooth, about 5 minutes.
