In the bowl of a mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter with the sugar until light and aerated, about 5 minutes. Gradually blend in the egg whites. Add the flour and mix on low speed until well combined. Blend in food coloring as needed. Refrigerate until needed in a covered container and use as desired.
