Method

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Boil without stirring until the sauce reaches 220°F/104°C.
  2. Remove from the heat and cool completely. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
