Method

  1. Trim the edges from the frangipane cake and cut lengthwise into three strips, 3 by 16 in/8 by 41 cm each.
  2. Blend the melted chocolate into the butter-cream. Spread 3 oz/90 g of the buttercream onto one strip of frangipane. Place a second strip on top of the buttercream and spread with 3 oz/90 g buttercream. Place the third strip of frangipane on top.
