This is the perfect dessert for a beautiful summer dinner. Easy, fresh and yet impressive! What more I could say really? I might have twisted the presentation, but panna cotta with berries is just one of those classic matches made in heaven that just works well.

Ingredients

For the vanilla panna cotta

  • 375 ml double cream
  • 125 ml whole milk
  • 50

Method

To make the panna cotta, mix the double cream with the milk and sugar in a pot and scrape in the vanilla seeds. Add the vanilla pod as well and bring the mixture to the boil. Remove quickly from the heat and discard the pod. Melt the presoaked gelatine into the hot panna cotta mixture, then let it cool down slightly before pouring it into the mould or cup of choice.
