Method

  1. Begin with making the waffle batter. Use a balloon whisk to whisk the milk, egg and oil in a large bowl. Add the vanilla seeds. Whisk in the sugar, baking powder and salt. Sift in the flour. Whisk until just combined (do not overwork the batter). Set aside.
