  • Bowl of iced water, for refreshing
  • Vegetable oil, for shallow-frying

Method

  1. Begin with preparing your brussels sprouts. Trim the stem from each sprout and discard. Reserve the outer leaves that fall off.
  2. Cook the sprouts in a saucepan of boiling water for 6-8 minutes or until a fork or small knife runs through easily when pricked. Use a slotted spoon to immediately transfer the sprouts to the iced water to stop the cooking process and
