This is an easy way to make French bread. The French bread programme will produce a light textured bread with the extra crispy crust that is commonly associated with French bread.

Method

  1. Pour the water into the bread machine pan. If the manufacturer’s instructions for your particular machine specify that the yeast is to be placed in the pan first, reverse the order in which you add the liquid and the dry ingredients.
