This is a hearty bread with a full nutty flavour and coarse texture from the wheatgerm and bran found in the wholemeal flour.

  • 280 ml/10 fl oz/1 cup + 3 tbsp water

Method

  1. Pour the water into the bread machine pan. Add the lemon juice. If the instructions for your machine specify that the yeast is to be placed in the pan first, reverse the order in which you add the liquid and the dry ingredients.
