These well-known flatbreads are easy to make and extremely versatile. Serve them warm with dips or soups, or split them in half and stuff the pockets with your favourite vegetable, meat or cheese filling.
Pour the water and oil into the bread machine pan. If your instructions specify that the yeast is to be placed in the pan first, reverse the order in which you add the liquid and dry ingredients. Add the flour, ensuring it covers the water.
Add the salt and sugar in separate corners. Make a shallow indent in the centre of the flour and add the yeast.
