There’s a warm surprise waiting for anyone who bites into this tasty wholemeal bread: fresh chillies are speckled throughout the crumb.
Heat the oil in a small frying pan. Add the chillies and sauté them over a moderate heat for 3—4 minutes until softened. Set aside to cool.
Tip the chillies and their oil into the bread machine pan. Pour in the water. Reverse the order in which you add the wet and dry ingredients if necessary.
Sprinkle over both types of flour, ensuri
