Colourful and full of flavour, this bread looks good when sliced, as the pretty pepper studs can be seen to advantage. Add orange pepper too, if you like.
Cut the peppers into fine dice. Pour the milk and water into the bread pan. Reverse the order in which you add the wet and dry ingredients if necessary. Sprinkle over the flour, ensuring that it covers the liquid. Add the sugar and salt in separate corners of the pan.
