Danish pastries are filled with a sweet cherry filling spiked with Kirsch.
Pour the egg and water into the pan. Reverse the order in which you add the liquid and dry ingredients if necessary.
Sprinkle over the flour and cinnamon, covering the liquid. Add the sugar, salt and 25g/1oz/2 tbsp of the butter, placing them in separate corners. Make a shallow indent in the flour; add the yeast. Set the bread machine to the dough set
