Ingredients: 50 g/2 oz/4 tbsp sugar; 600 g/1 lb 5 oz/5¼ cups unbleached white bread flour; 7.5 ml/1½ tsp salt; 150 ml/5 fl oz/⅔ cup milk; 7.5 ml/1½ tsp easy bake (rapid-rise) dried yeast; 25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp sugar; 200 ml/7 fl oz/⅞ cup milk; 15 ml/1 tbsp milk, for glazing; 75 g/3 oz/6 tbsp melted butter; 1 egg; 2.5 ml/½ tsp salt; 375 g/13 oz/3¼ cups unbleached white bread flour; 7.5 ml/1½ tsp easy bake dried yeast; 40 g/1½ oz/3 tbsp sugar; 140 g/5 oz/⅝ cup melted butter; 280 ml/10 fl oz/1 cup + 3 tbsp milk; 115 g/4 oz/½ cup melted butter; 2 eggs; 5 ml/1 tsp salt; 500 g/1 lb 2 oz/4½ cups unbleached white bread flour

Method

Pour the milk into the bread machine pan. Add the egg(s) and melted butter. If the instructions for your machine specify that the yeast is to be placed in first, reverse the order in which you add the liquid and the dry ingredients.
