  • About

As refreshing as a summer breeze, this homemade soda is the perfect thirstquencher for your next picnic or barbecue. We like it best with thyme, basil, or mint, but feel free to experiment and find your own favorite herbal combination.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • A few sprigs fresh thyme, basil, or mint, or the fresh herb of your choice

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar with ½ cup water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; add herbs, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes. Remove herbs and let cool completely.
  2. Fill four
