Fans of oaky wines need look no further, as there is none more oaky than this delicious, leafy little number. We’ve made versions of this wine with new leaves picked in spring and older leaves harvested just before autumn kicks in – their rich tannins build throughout the year so the more mature leaves will maximize the mouth-puckering tannic effect. The citrus fruits added to this wine help to balance out the tannins… without them the resulting wine would be the liquid equivalent of eating
