French fries, or frites, as we fancy people like to call them, are a favorite for many. Lucky for us—they’re naturally vegan! So are portobello steaks, which are incredibly tasty and satisfying, not to mention ridiculously easy to make. And the frites? Just as easy. The hardest part about this new classic is waiting for it to come out of the oven. According to one of my recipe testers, it’s a “quick-and-dirty weeknight meal that makes you get out the tablecloths.”
