We are incredibly fortunate to have access to crabs that have been freshly caught in the icy waters around Skye. I went to school with some of the creel fishermen who supply us, so it’s always nice to have a wee blether at the kitchen door when I get a delivery. If you don’t have any crab fishermen in your contact list, don’t worry! Your local fishmonger should have freshly picked crab meat that you can buy – it’s a lot less fiddly than picking the meat out of a crab claw, that’s for sure.
