This is an excellent drink when you’re feeling the cold or are under the weather. Cloves have natural healing properties and are known to be antibacterial. Delicious, warming, comforting – and good for you too.

Method

  1. Put 200 ml water into a pot and bring it to the boil. Add the cloves and cinnamon stick and simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside to cool.
  2. Peel and core your apples, then chop into 2cm pieces. Put them into another pot with the caster sugar and stew on a low heat un
