  • About

The glorious shapes and colours of fallen leaves inspired the decoration for these delicious cakes made with caramelized autumn fruit. If you prefer to make standard-sized cupcakes, cut the pears into chunks instead of halves.

Ingredients

  • 3–4 small ripe pears
  • 40 g/ oz/3 tbsp

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Grease 6–7 10cm/4in-diameter muffin tins (pans) or line with mini panettone paper cases.
  2. Peel and cut the pears into halves lengthways. Remove the cores but leave the short stems on the fruit if possible.
