This tasty little snack is addictive! Prosciutto is a type of Italian dry-cured ham. It’s usually eaten raw because its low water content prevents bacterial growth; however, in this recipe it’s cooked until it’s slightly crispy around the sweet date. To reduce sodium, substitute Swiss cheese and low-sodium deli ham. You may also use dried figs instead of dates.
