Recipes for pumpkin chips appear in turn-of-the-last-century cookbooks published all over the country. One of the most workable recipes for this chunky, lemony sweetmeat or preserve appears in the California watercolorist Henrietta Latham Dwight’s fascinating 1898 vegetarian tract The Golden Age CookBook.
