I adore this delightful and easy vegetable dish with a surprise hint of dried lavender flowers. You can find small packets of them in better markets, herb stores, and bath shops. For a slightly more substantial dish, sprinkle on a little crumbled feta once the squash is tender. I add a pinch of crushed lavender just before serving to pop up the flavor. A final sprinkle of Maldon Salt or other large flakes of salt makes the flavors sparkle more.
