  • 300 g blackberries
  • 60 g caster sugar

Method

The day before you make the loaf, start on the compote. Halve or quarter the blackberries (depending on how big they are) and freeze them overnight. The next day, transfer them to a tray and mix the sugar thoroughly through the berries. Leave to defrost at room temperature, mixing occasionally, until defrosted.
