Choi sum is one of the most delicious of Chinese vegetables. It is bright green, resembling Chinese broccoli, but has small, yellow, budlike flowers, and is available in Chinese vegetable markets. When cooked, it is very sweet. From the time I was a little girl I can always remember loving the vegetable for its sweetness and wanting it by itself without any additional flavors or ingredients.
