This is my oriental version of spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are seasoned with garlic, ginger, chilies, cilantro, spring onion and fish sauce. Pungent fish sauce is used mostly in Thai and Vietnamese cuisines, especially salads. Once cooked, however, its salty, fishy aroma takes on a sweet edge. The delicious coconut noodles are a great accompaniment.
