Soy and Sesame Green Beans

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed and finely chopped
  • 10½ oz green beans, trimmed, washed and dried
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • dash of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon toasted white sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon toasted black sesame seeds


  1. Heat a wok over high heat and add the oil. Stir fry the garlic and for less than 1 minute add the green beans and stir fry for a further minute. Season with light soy sauce and sesame oil and stir well.
  2. Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
