  • 2 or 3 sliced cucumbers, stock, sour cream, the juice of
  • ½ a lemon
  • 1 or 2 cloves of garlic, flour, butter, salt and pepper


Melt a little butter in a saucepan, sprinkle in a little flour and, when a light brown, add a little stock gradually, stirring well; then add the sour cream, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Stew the peeled and sliced cucumber in this till quite tender. Put the slices of cucumber on a hot dish and pour the sauce over them.
