  • About

  • 6 or 8 large green or red sweet peppers (paprikas)
  • 1 cupful of rice
  • 1 onion
  • 2 or 3 tomatoes
  • ½ pint of sour cream, stock or water
  • goose dripping

Cut the top off the paprikas and remove the seeds. Cut 1 or 2 of them into strips. Cook in hot goose dripping, with the chopped onion, the peeled tomatoes and the rice, which should be moistened with a little water or stock.

Cook till the rice is soft, mix in the sour cream and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring well. Stuff the paprikas with the mixture and serve with rice.
