Szekely Gullash


  • 1 lb of pork
  • 1 lb of sauerkraut
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 gill of sour cream, lard, salt.


Chop the onion, and cook in hot lard till a golden colour. Sprinkle with the paprika and mix well. Then add the meat, cut in small squares and simmer for a few minutes. Add a little water, and simmer till the water has evaporated. Repeat this process till the meat is quite tender. Add the previously boiled sauerkraut, mix well, and finally add the sour cream.
