Mix a ½ lb. of icing sugar to a little sugar rubbed with lemon peel, 1 tablespoon of rum, 1 teaspoon of water, a little lemon peel, and stir over a very slow fire till the mixture begins to thicken. Remove the lemon peel before using the icing.
