Remove the outside leaves of the cabbage and use only the white part. Shred finely and cook in butter till tender, seasoning with salt and pepper. Roll out the puff pastry very thinly, place half of it on a baking tin or on a round baking plate, put the cabbage over it, with the chopped hard-boiled eggs, cover with a layer of pastry and bake for ½ an hour in a moderate oven.
