  • lbs. of split peas
  • lbs. of fresh pork
  • 1 or 2

Method

Boil the pork as in the preceding recipe, adding the vegetables. Soak the peas in water for 12 hours and bring to the boil in the same water. Simmer till tender and the consistency of thick porridge. Add some of the pork stock gradually and serve with the chopped vegetables and the pork.
