Chilaly

Method

Chilaly is made by melting a little butter in a saucepan, adding 1 teaspoon of finely chopped onion, the pulp of 1 tomato, 1 tablespoon of pimiento, finely chopped, ¾ lb. of cheese, 3 or 4 tablespoons of milk and 1 egg. Season highly with salt and cayenne. Stir till the mixture thickens and serve very hot.
