Cut the meat into 1½ inch squares. Melt the butter, fry the sliced onion and cook till brown. Then add the condiments, stir well, and put in the pieces of meat. Add the dahi and, if necessary, a little water, cover the saucepan and simmer for 1½ to 2 hours, till the meat is tender.
