This is infinitely nicer than pie in my book. My recipe was given to me by Laetitia Driver, the mother of my great friend from school, Caroline. Caroline is a healer, and I probably wouldn’t be walking if it wasn’t for her, but her mother’s Steak and Kidney Pudding is arguably more comforting. I once cooked it in a pressure cooker in my tiny kitchen at Wilde’s Club and had it photographed for ‘Italian Vogue. It’s wonderfully consoling.
